Robert Pires is a retired French professional footballer who is best known for his time playing for Arsenal in the English Premier League. He was born on October 29, 1973, in Reims, France.
Pires began his professional career with French club Metz before moving to Marseille and then Arsenal in 2000. During his time at Arsenal, he was an integral part of the team that won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.
Pires was known for his skill, creativity, and vision on the field, as well as his ability to score goals from midfield. He was also a key player for the French national team, winning the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2000 UEFA European Championship.
